I was privileged to chair @LBMSDG06 at the Francis Crick Institute! We had some wonderful speakers including Prof. Jyothi Choudhary, Prof Jesmond Dalli and Dr J. J Philips and they did not disappoint! Talks included advances in high-throughput proteomics, HDX and much more!

Protein sequencing is a big deal and goes way beyond DNA sequencing. While we have ~20000 protein-coding genes, we have _millions_ of protein variants, mainly because of post-translational modifications that attach a side group to amino acids. 1/
