Saved a few ₹ that way. Hotel taxi rates are very steep — expensive , so this hack worked well. Hope it helps you too!

I booked a King Room, was upgraded at 10:30 PM to one with a terrace & cabana. Was offered a Suite, but had to decline due to fresh paint smell — wasn’t ideal for my 5-year-old niece.
