Seeing @UMNews @GopherCCTF men do so well at the @NCAATrackField championships thus far is heartwarming. It means that all our work to save the team in 2020 was worth it. My goal was to help that kid whose name I would never know. Years later, I can say that I have. @UmnMen
In the NCAA, Black athletes are only in 3 sports in large numbers: football, basketball, and track. So when schools like @UMNews cut track and field, they are cutting their Black athletes who don't make them money. Read my piece in the @StarTribune here:
