Calling it a rule change is misleading & malicious. It’s an existing rule that has been used before. Nigeria itself missed AFCON in 2017 after Chad withdrew. In this case, they’d even played 3 games already. ALL their results were annulled. Nobody was gifted 3 points & 3 goals.
