The last time Frydenberg was involved with a Royal Commission, respected Commissioner Kenneth Hayne publicly refused to shake Josh Frydenberg's hand. Hayne was furious because his Banking Royal Commission findings were being distorted for political cover. 'Frydenberg 101'.

I suspect elements of the campaign for a royal commission are political and opportunistically motivated. The real intention is to do as much damage to the Albanese government as possible whatever it takes and to serve the purposes of a very powerful sectional interest group.

The Member for Rankin is Jim Chalmers, who is five times the Treasurer that Frydenberg ever was, and who is smiling, I think, because he can see exactly how much self-harm Frydenberg is unintentionally doing.

In which the man using an unspeakable national tragedy to further his ambitions to sit in the big chair reminds us just exactly how much respect he has for the religions of the world.

βNever before has there been an opposition that has blamed a government for an act of terror and mass murder. Before Sunday, the rule for both major political parties was to place national unity ahead of any political gain.β https://t.co/qG00WMBBR6

There is no going back to where we were before December 14. But a social contract Australians relied on has been destroyed by the Coalition.

Thread. And a very important read. I saw the Coorey piece as part of an opportunistic but well-organised campaign to use the Bondi massacre for political gain, using clickbait to destabilise and undermine Labor in general and Albanese in particular.
Despite our differences, I consider Phil Coorey an intelligent man. And so I am staggered that he could have written something so disconnected from reality and decency. There is so much wrong with this that I'm going to have to break it down bit by bit. I hope he reads it π§΅

@TrigwellMatt *Objectively* false. I'm defending him, and I'm a noted critic of his. Regular people think the media has lost its mind. They're scratching their heads, going "why are they blaming him and saying he's MIA when he's clearly doing lots of stuff? That's ridiculous, poor guy."

I know comparisons are odious, but itβs very bad luck for Sussan Ley that weβre seeing news clips of her public and scripted attempts to show leadership interspersed with news clips of Chris Minns looking and sounding like a leader. Very, very bad luck.

Thereβs nothing loving about βletting womenβ do this or that, or βtelling womenβ to do anything.
Pastors, If restaurants and airlines can enforce dress codes, so can your church. Thereβs nothing loving about letting women wear immodest clothing to church. It exposes her, and it tempts the men of your flock. Kindly tell her to change, cover up, or come back next week.

Andrew Hastie says Australia must urgently review its immigration policy after allowing βradical militant Islamistsβ into the country, pointing to Sajid Akramβs arrival on a student visa and arguing migration should favour those who support Australia as a Judeo Christian nation.

Imagine being either so ill-informed or such a liar that youβre prepared to let the world know about your ignorance & deception on this platform. For the record, no such ban exists, only enough restrictions to make sure itβs only 30 years between massacres, instead of 5 minutes.
Imagine thinking it's a brag that you banned all private ownership of guns in your entire continent-sized nation, and you STILL HAVE GUN DEATHS.

Sharing just to warn the world whatβs in store. And Iβm not talking about these brave women, whose physical gestures are not what this boy is trying to pretend they are. Good thing I have less than no desire to enter the US any time soon, ay.
OUTRAGE IN SYDNEY. Eyewitnesses say two female police officers on scene at Bondi Beach completely froze during the terror attack. Gunmen reportedly fired for up to 20 minutes without interruption. No engagement. No response. Just chaos. If this is true, it raises a brutal

Shout out to the #bondi beach life guard who, while there was shots being fired and we were all ducking for cover behind their buggy, noticed someone in the water struggling so grabbed a board and went to rescue them

Weβve all had a good day watching the lovebirds in Tamworth but on a serious note the worst form of politics is the deliberate promotion of fear, anxiety and bullshit to promote a political agenda solely about problems and no solutionsβ¦thatβs One Nation.
