I started a Substack back in December, focusing on college athletics, high school recruiting, and technology's place in this space. It would mean a lot if you subscribed, it's completely free! Would enjoy conversation / commentary on the topics as well! https://t.co/ckamfege23

This NY LIfe survey came out a while ago but I feel some of this data needs to be resurfaced, given where we are in the recruiting cycle. 83% of parents believe their child can play in college and 75% of parents believe their child can play professionally!

Recruiting Notes (11/4/25) When evaluating your film it's important to remember, no one offers from highlight tapes alone. Game video tells the true story. Anyone who is mildly good, can put together 10-15 plays from a season that look good. The real story is told in the game

Love this! Absolutely love seeing data wins!! Finding the arbitrage opportunities with under valued talent is where teams make HUGE gains. If athletes feel under valued they should find ways to get their data in front of coaches and teams!!!

BREAKING: The flip is in. After recently backing off a commitment to Minnesota, prolific wide receiver Kai Meza from Corner Canyon (Utah) has revealed his pledge to Cal, giving the Golden Bears another important piece for their 2026 puzzle https://t.co/jIclZ7wkSJ

60 recruits is a lot! I wrote about this on my Substack—teams need to bring external data collection in house. The more athletes they get on campus, the more they can verify. Every decision has $ attached, and those creating sunk costs will cost jobs in the athletic departments.

There could be 60 recruits in Lincoln this coming weekend when Nebraska hosts USC. I am in the process of pulling together The List, but I put together a teaser list for RSS. Check it out here: https://t.co/q8FRUVa90m

Pretty soon, every athlete will be walking around with their own data locker of verified metrics that they can distribute to schools on their own. I couldn't agree more everything gets verified! Schools prioritize verification!!

Be very careful of how you lie about stats, height, weight, CGPA ( kids usually give their current GPA not knowing it’s a difference between GPA and CGPA), and 40 times! Everything gets verified….

🚨HEADS UP: If you were an @NCAABaseball volunteer coach in any years from 2018-23, you can enroll to get a minimum $5K, and potentially on average, $30K (or more) because of a $49.25 million class action lawsuit, per former Missouri standout and current Korein Tillery lawyer

The issue with recruiting services and recruiting as a whole is the lack of objectivity. A lot of the process is based on “vibes”, momentum, and hope. Parents feel desperate to try and get their kids in front of coaches.

Too many “recruiting services” out here selling dreams instead of telling the truth.

This is a solid take. The crazy part that my team analyzed through data, is that coaches prioritize measurement verification over the measurement itself. Athletes who reach the top of the verification funnel gain an advantage, regardless of what the metric says.

To my HS Recruits, seat down with your parents and that coach who is recruiting you and ask will I get develop in your group if I’m not in the starting rotation. Ask will I get developed if I lack in some things.. 🚨 To me you got a lot of coaches going of measurements at

The world of data in collegiate athletics is scattered and disparate. Our team has an internal goal to unify these separated data resources to help universities maximize $$$. We’re starting in the world of player acquisition but that is just the starting point.

Our team is finding that a lot of the data resources within collegiate athletics is isolated. This isn’t specific to recruiting but in everything ranging from the training room to academics.

A LOT of changes are being made in sports during this athlete empowerment era. The script is being flipped before our eyes. Athletes used to be the product, and still are considered the product to many sports businesses. Will be interesting to see where this goes.

As a college coach, the guys we recruit are a reflection of us. So, if I recruit a guy, that means I am willing to bet my livelihood on him. You need to be coachable, high character, give effort, be a team player, and be a STUDENT-athlete. We're building men, not just athletes.
