So at 42 years old, I’ve just booked my first train ticket. As a result of my mental health I’ve always avoided the train for fear of just getting in the wrong train and ending up somewhere I don’t want to be (stupid I know). Now I’ve done it though, I’m already worried 😟

I think the reason my mental health is so bad is because I’m lonely. I don’t have many friends and while I want to go out and make more, the idea of doing so makes me so panicked, I can’t face it so I cancel plans & just end up wallowing with my own company. I wish I were normal.

12 years ago today I ended a 6 year toxic relationship. I lost my home, my friends and literally had to start from scratch. Fast-forward to now I have a great partner, own home, good career and am happy. Sometimes you just have to make a change, regardless of how tough it seems.

Sometimes I wish I wasn’t asexual. Whenever anyone mentions asexuality, it’s mostly rude or as a joke, I’m constantly made to feel like my asexuality isn’t valid because people think there’s something wrong with me rather than trying to understand what being ace actually is.

People think that to be lonely you have to be alone. I’ve found out through experience though that you can be lonely in a room full of people, for real loneliness is found in the knowledge that nobody cares if you are around or not.
