I joined @NC_Governor and @EstherManheimer yesterday to announce more than $1.6 billion to communities across North Carolina, including $225 million to the City of Asheville. These funds are critical -- 12,000 Western North Carolinians remain without safe housing.

This week, @DepSecTodman and all of us at HUD are commemorating #WorldAIDSDay. We remember those who have lost their lives to this disease and renew our commitment to addressing the housing needs of those living with HID/AIDS across America.

It was great to be in Durham, NC, to announce HUD's new partnership with @NCCULAW that will advance fair housing enforcement and provide the next generation of fair housing leaders with the tools to combat housing discrimination in North Carolina and across the nation.

The Biden-Harris Administration announced nearly $250M to develop 30,000 affordable homes—including funds for HUD grantees to advance housing security. Expanding affordable housing is a whole-of-government effort, and this funding helps further our goals.

Yesterday, I kicked off @GinnieMaeGov's Mortgage Market Resilience and Access to Credit Summit. Millions of Americans rely on Ginnie Mae to achieve homeownership—and discussions like this help strengthen how our industry partners support access to credit for aspiring homeowners.
