This is why I laugh when people choose to drum on men being cheap because they dated someone that gave them food - it’s either oversimplification or willful ignorance.
It’s often not the act itself but the intent behind it.
Kindness doesn’t come cheap for most men.
I talked to someone who started dating his girlfriend because she covered his food at a wedding event, he was a groom’s man & he was eating then got called, when he got back to the table, the lady had covered his food.
And that was it, the only inspiration he needed.
All of you that are shouting that protesters were blocking road and causing traffic and you couldn't live your normal life while your fellow citizens were being killed.
I hope you are enjoying your normal life now.

I owe myself a good life. A peaceful and happy one - filled with love and security. And I'll do anything to ensure I get it.
I did not eat eba with ewedu sprinkled with ground pepper to have it any less.
A year ago, I started packing my bags to go on an adventure like none I had been on before.
It's been the hardest year. It's been the softest year. It's been the best year. And it's been the craziest year.
In all, it's been an Ace year.
Happy birthday, Adewale! ❤️
It’s been an incredible, incredible experience - but part of the journey is the end.
Today was my last day at Flutterwave and words cannot describe the growth and relationships I’ve had over the last few years.
Super grateful and excited for what the future holds!

My fondest memory of the first time I earned above N100k naira per month was realizing that I could now afford to buy shawarma for me and my siblings once a month.
I was so elated lmao.
We
@theflutterwave
have raised N2M to support protestors and the injured in this fight against police brutality.
We are opening this up to the general public so we can raise more for this cause

So excited about all the good news with young Nigerians in tech. Breaking new bounds and more! Love to see it. ✨
If you're Nigerian and into tech, please like this tweet! I'd love to follow and get to know as many exciting people as I can! Y'all are amazing.
Congratulations 🎉
I'm super excited and honored to be a part of the
@github
README Project.
I had a great time sharing my story with the team, and I hope this inspires someone else out there as well. ♤
I got robbed this morning at my place. Took all they could possibly take, beat me a bit. But I'm fine.
I don't even know how to react but my anxiety doesn't think it's funny. Sigh.
Won't be online much for the next couple days at least.
See, for those following me and looking to come up in tech in Naija.
The amount of work, skill and favor over labor that would allow you earn a shit ton of money especially if it's not remote USD is not easy. It's not automatic.
Know this, pace yourself, and know peace.
Hey everyone! 😊
I'm super excited to announce that my next adventure begins with
@theflutterwave
as Developer Advocate!! 🥑🔥
Feels great to be part of the team bringing amazing payment solutions and innovations to developers and businesses all over the world! 🔥

🚨Took over 2 years since the first commit, but I’m beyond thrilled to share the new Made in Nigeria Open Source Website. 🎉🇳🇬
This project itself is an example of the collaborative and resilient nature of the Nigerian developer community.
It's been months of hard-work and almost giving up multiple times. But we FINALLY cracked it.
I'm super excited to announce that I'm launching my new startup - 9Time!
Subscribe to my YouTube channel for early access - ! ⏰🚀
Got a rejection mail today that was sent twice. TWICE.
Gmail for some reason didn't even collapse them, they were right on top of each other.
Couldn't have missed that L even if I wanted to.
Happy to see that there are even more platforms supporting women getting into tech.
But women should not be safe only in women-led organizations. That’s not acceptable.
We need to take responsibility and not be predators please.
There's something new I'm learning about love.
And it's that, even though there's a chance it might end one day - because this life is a pot of beans, the best thing to do is to love fully and enjoy each day as it comes.
Without fear of tomorrow or factors outside your control
Tbh it gets harder to work these days. I have to disconnect from the internet for a minute before I can get anything done. Or stay up till 2am to be able to do anything.
We just want action. No violence. How hard can it be?

+1 today. Been a crazy 2020. Thankful but I have a few requests:
1. Lend your voice to
#EndSARS
because people are dying and being brutalized.
2. Subscribe to my YouTube cos I'm always too shy to ask 🙈
3. Be human, because what else are we!?
Stay Ace!
Hadn’t given a physical talk in so long and the audience was so supportive.
Thank you for having me

with you! 🚀🔥
While this clip doesn’t do the main song justice, it’s still underwhelming.
Just let us do a cover or remix of Walele biko 😭
“Osimhen make you tell me where you dey? Walele!”
That’s football heritage! ☺️😔
What's it like to be a Front-End Engineer at Flutterwave?
We had a chat with Adewale, a.ka. Ace, his love for video games, making youtube videos and so much more.
Watch our full conversation here:
For (junior/mid?) self taught devs that have acquired a significant amount of their experience through practical activities, what would you recommend as a good approach for them to get familiar with theoretical concepts in software?
E.g patterns, algorithms, terminologies… etc.
You ain’t married but you have a son, how come? — There are some things in life, no matter how hard we try, the answers to them, while sitting right in front of our eyes, will continue to elude us.
Community.
The Nigerian tech community is one of the best things to happen to me. A lot of amazing people invested, contributed and shaped what my career is today and I can’t wait to specially thank them but today I want to specifically say thanks to
@dftaiwo
.
A short story.
