If you’re only a libertarian if your desired culture is reflected back toward you, you’re not nor were ever a libertarian. “Freedom, but only if it’s for things I like”.
Libertarianism sounds cool when you imagine it as a bunch of cool guys in Hawaiian shirts fighting the government and not a bunch of porn addicted cuckolds who would let their daughter become trans and start an onlyfans in the name of freedom.

Maybe I’ll be murdered tomorrow by someone who crossed the border. That still wouldn’t mean the act of crossing the border is unjust, nor does it mean we should assume all others who do have ill intent.
@Ace_Archist That’s because you haven’t seen how it is in other places. You do not want that coming to your neighborhood. It’s fine for you to not know, but you must not naively advocate for it to come to where you are.

Yes because the legal presumption of innocence is a moral and epistemic obligation. The only justified borders are private borders, something the state lacks.
@AtTheHague @Ace_Archist He doesn't even know what the word "defend" means. He thinks he can "defend" himself without borders. He's going to "defend" himself from invaders "on an individual case by case basis" 🤪

I don’t think most people value life and liberty. I don’t think the vast majority of people in this country value life and liberty either.
@BTRBT_ @Ace_Archist Reality is the serious critique of libertarianism. Especially open borders. The people who advocate for open borders do it from very safe places. Usually they don’t have children. Often they have never seen the third world. They imagine that all people value life and property.

That’s not true, wanting to be left alone does not imply that you will do nothing to defend yourself.
@Ace_Archist The people who just want to be left alone always always lose to the people who want to destroy them. You remember that.

I am a libertarian because I know it’s wrong to use violence against non-aggressors. Even if I knew that no libertarian society would ever come to exist I would still be a libertarian because I have moral obligations to other people to be one.
@Ace_Archist I’ve worked in libertarian circles for a very long time. Here are your path options:. Continue to believe these things and try to make some money as an influencer of some sort. Go to work for an NGO where you navel gaze and theorize about things that don’t work in real life. Grow.

People sometimes grow up after being born to become rapists too. We ought legally presume people to be innocent. State border restrictions make people prove their innocence to the state, it’s as unjust as gun restrictions for the same reason.
@Ace_Archist Yeah totally. Rape gangs are awesome.
