A port is a used to keep track of specific convos between a client and server Each network application has a port number assigned to it Ports are assigned by ICANN 3 categories of ports include: • Well-known (below 1024) • Registered (1024 - 49151) • Private (49152 - 65,535)

In this module, I was able to learn about TCP and UDP as well as their port numbers They do the same job but they go about it differently While TCP ensures data arrives in order and reliably, UDP prioritizes speed over reliability of packets
