Many thanks to the talented journalists who have made C&EN a pleasure to read. They will (if they haven't already) bring their skills elsewhere, much to the detriment of ACS and C&EN.

I would step further and say C&EN is the 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 tangible benefit offered by ACS. Surprising as it may be to the top execs we don't pay dues to fund $1M+ salaries and cheap mugs. Why should we continue as a community to support ACS if they aren't interested in supporting us?

"C&EN has always punched above its weight and delivered a product that has become to many the most important benefit of membership in the American Chemical Society." Excellent letter from @sciencegeist (and more), but extremely disappointing action by @AmerChemSociety.

Unbelievably excited to share this work with the world 🎊As Dexter would say, today is a great day for ✨Science✨ Read about how we upcycled post-consumer plastic waste into ionomers (and basically anything imaginable) here: https://t.co/apbET2FHTW

w/ @VeigeLab_UF we previously demonstrated the promise of cyclic PA. But notorious insolubility complicates traditional methods for characterizing cyclics. So a Veige catalyst was used to make sol. precursors, confirmed O architecture, and then deprotected. Voila! @UFChemistry

First paper!! Congrats @KnightGroupUNC!🎉
We are excited to share our new paper out in @J_A_C_S! We induce beta-sheet-like regions into an amphiphilic co-polymer using a bio-inspired di(phenylalanine) acrylamide monomer. We show that this material forms single-chain nanoparticles… 1/3 https://t.co/QLQVSFMLTb
