Last episode of Gosso Kaisen and it was a feast. The Sakuga was amazing as always, unfortunately they were forced to fit all of Sendai Colony in one episode so it felt like whiplash. But I think they made the most of it with stellar sequences, great action episode

So i think the reason why mappa decided not to animate sukuna exactly like this is because as yall must already know gege himself didnt keep this design for sukuna in later arcs. I believe mappa wanted to draw him similar to shinjuku sukuna.
