It’s the fact I can relate to multiple characters when I was their age is what makes it so good. Highschool is crucial for both character building and deciding for the future.

Madoka is very obviously the key. She’s the only one with no hate towards chidori and she’s very clearly implied to know what caused the conflict
Ayato’s older brother said that the curtains at kikyo weren’t closed when he was at chidori. So the one sided beef started less than 10 years ago. What could possibly have happened to make a teacher, at the mere sight of a chidori student react in such manner

I’m liking the current conflict. After exploring a lot of the cast enough for us to like them and care, a conflict about kikyo’s hate towards chidori was always set to happen. But I really don’t want toki to get a cake-no-jutsu redemption . Let her be a bitch.
