Arizona added 759,485 people over the last decade, the 8th most of any state. Arizona’s nearly 12% growth rate is also the 9th-fastest in the country. Today, more than 7.15 million people call Arizona home. 4/

As a result of these efforts, Arizona counted 99.9% of all households. The state’s 64.1% self-response rate exceeded that from 2010 (61.3%) and 2000 (63%). 19 of the 20 land-based tribal communities in AZ had final enumeration rates of 100%. 3/

These efforts included: A statewide media campaign Partnerships across state agencies A grassroots outreach campaign, including working w/ schools, hospitals, philanthropies, elected officials, and organizations serving diverse populations such as @ITCAOnline. 2/

While we're disappointed AZ didn't receive an additional Cong. seat, we want to recognize last year's historic effort. In 2020, countless volunteers embarked on a statewide campaign to reach underrepresented communities, resulting in AZ's highest self-response rate in decades 1/
