Thought of the day... How many 2025 IHSA FB teams would not have had to win a single game to qualify under the new playoff system bc they took 2 forfeits? How many would have only had to win 1 bc they took a forfeit? @thesouc @ViewFromWestPod @NUICFootball

I can already see them, hair dyed blonde, playoff T-shirts in, participation medals in their hands!
52 teams finished 2-7 last season. Three of them (Plainfield North, Jersey, Glenbrook North) managed to beat one team with a winning record. Most of them only beat teams with 1 or 0 wins. But a fairly significant number of those 2-7 teams are playoff bound next year......

I can’t believe this is passing. You know what. Maybe Jordan Lynch was right. If you’re not good enough then you just aren’t good enough to be in the big dance and should take a cold hard look in the mirror and look for answers and not excuses.
