4️⃣ Most importantly, women show stronger resistance to anti-feminist influencers. 🚺

3️⃣ Our findings show that people exposed to feminist influencers (sporadically discuss topics related to gender equality) show stronger feminist attitudes. While those following anti-feminist influencers lean toward anti-feminism - an robust effect even after self-selection. ♀️

2️⃣ Influencers act as trusted sources, making political ideas accessible even to disengaged audiences. Our study reflects the new global media landscape, suggesting mainstream influencers play a key role in shaping social debates—especially on Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, and YT.

1️⃣ Influencers aren’t just promoting products—they shape political attitudes too. We studied their impact on feminist & anti-feminist views in Spain using surveys + content analysis of the 25 most important influencers on Spain during the Autum of 2022. 🎥📱
