After years of advocating for these streets as places for kids to learn to ride a bike, I finally got to experience it myself. 🥳❤️

Hello. My 7yo learned to ride a bike this weekend. After practicing in our garage (we live on a hill), she took off on JFK and then biked partway home on Page Slow St. Here’s a cheesy video.

A parent in my kid’s 1st grade class works at Muni’s Transit Management Center and gave the class a tour and now some have replaced their backpacks with SFMTA lunch bags. Start em young.
