I join all those who are mourning the loss of a Thousand Oaks treasure. Brett Taylor was so loved. He was part of the fabric of Thousand Oaks and quite likely the most widely known person in town and beyond. Brett has left us all with so many memories that we can treasure. RIP💔

AB 1705 passed the Senate Education Committee today with unanimous support of all members present. Thank you @DrAishaLowe, Chancellor @EloyOakley, and the large coalition for advocating on behalf of students.
Despite substantial progress made under #AB705 reforms, implementation remains uneven & equity gaps persist. There is a high number of remedial course offerings but not enough transfer level courses. #AB1705 clarifies & strengthens language on institutional placement practices.
