@SCobanMune @OmarRawi89 @alteri_ale @Tom_Bamford_ #eshrejc in other terms embryos should not be discarded based on a predictive model in my view. Ranking or prioritisation shall not be considered similar to testing or diagnosis.

@GeneraLifeIT @SCobanMune @OmarRawi89 @alteri_ale @Tom_Bamford_ Also developed models should aim towards complete automatisation of embryo scoring in order to minimise manual evaluations and potential bias from intra and inter observer variability #ESHREjc

@SCobanMune @OmarRawi89 @alteri_ale @Tom_Bamford_ We do not use AI prospectively at present. But in general, I do not see any issue related with embryo ranking strategies provided that deprioritised embryos are not deselected for transfer. Whatever model associated with aneuploidies should not be adopted as if it was diagnostic

@juanjo_fraire @GLiperis Indeed, ongoing research and validation studies will be crucial to assess the accuracy and reliability of AI models compared to PGT-A. What about combining these technologies in the future? The potential is definitely intriguing! #ESHREjc

Inaccurate or exclusionary medical language can lead to misdiagnosis, delayed treatment, and a lack of access to appropriate care for marginalized communities.

It is important to note that shifts in medical language are not just a matter of political correctness, but rather a crucial step in providing equitable healthcare.

This approach also acknowledges that individuals may have a range of gender identities and expressions, and that these identities do not necessarily correspond to their biological sex.
