I have a funded PhD project for someone! It's a good mix of landscape ecology and biology with cool fieldwork, and will build skills in genomics and data analysis. Focal species are native and invasive inverts. Please tell anyone who might be interested! https://t.co/Ex7gBZm55K

🌱📰New paper led by @m_just_ on germination physiology of Cochlospermum fraseri (Bixaceae). The authors aimed to determine how seed dormancy might be alleviated, and conditions that support germination to inform the use of this species in restoration.

fabulous to see Matuwa recognised as a jointly managed national park with the local Martu people. it's a place close to my heart as I spent 7+ years working there, reintroducing bilby, mala, possums, boodies, golden bandicoots and shark bay mice. a 📸 #wildoz thread

Our Science Committee member @SarahMLegge recently told @abcnews only about 15% of the animals killed by roaming pet cats are brought back home. We never see most of the impacts that our pet cats have on our local native wildlife.
