Great news to start the week! The Victorian Grassland Earless Dragon has been rediscovered on Wadawurrung country after not being seen since 1969. This cryptic species lives in the increasingly developed grasslands west of Melbourne where it has eluded researchers for 54 years

Checking in seahorses to their new hotels🏨🌊 This week Kerry from my office helped release captive bred White's Seahorses into seahorse hotels built by scientists from @nswdpi fisheries. This great project is a collaboration between NSW DPI and @SEALIFESydney 📷Dave Harasti

Quoll central at @MulligansFlat tonight, and Bettongs galore. How great is it to have this predator-free sanctuary for threatened species right here in Canberra. Sorry no Quoll pics but see if you can spot the wolf spider.

Choose #BilbiesNotBunnies this easter! A number of companies donate a portion of the profits from every Easter Bilby sold to conservation efforts. Chocolate is chocolate, and when given the choice I will always support our native species over introduced ferals.

Biodiversity conservation doesn’t just happen in national parks. DCCEEW is developing a framework to recognise conservation areas or ‘other effective area-based conservation measures’ (OECMs) in Australia. You can have a say. Consultation until 21/4/2023. https://t.co/7eHuxPj3Ec

Interesting research by @UNSW about native plants with no photos, making it hard to conserve them. Turns out plants are affected by charisma bias too! I'm keen to take up the challenge and take photos of our unique, if not charismatic, plants. More:
