This substitute teacher, who lives in his car, stopped working last year when students switched to virtual learning. But they didn't forget about him – and on his birthday, they gave him a huge surprise.

Sad news to share. Mr. Crowell was a beloved teacher and coach at Port Byron. The new press box was named in his honor. He was truly touched by this gesture and it was a great night when we dedicated the field in honor of Gino Alberici and the press box for Ron. RIP Ron.

This is the whole reason I became an educator. Seeing the joy that comes when someone accomplishes something they've worked so hard for is the ultimate gratification. I'm sure this girl worked hard to get this feeling. Priceless
One of the few positive effects of these scary times is the increased interest in skateboarding. It’s been uplifting to see so many learning to skate in their “downtime.” I believe they’re in pursuit of the same feeling this Ukrainian girl got when she landed her first kickflip.
