The Dialysis, Nephrology & Transplantation Workshop is currently underway, with day 2 almost over! About 150 heads of units, renal specialists, & interventionalists have been examining the challenges in delivering kidney care, pursuing skills & solutions to improve and advocate.

One of the solutions from FNQ was the creation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Health Practitioner pathway which has allowed the increased provision of HD care in four units. Need to think about broadening our workforce. What pathways could be created further?

Dialysis capacity remains a critical issue in AusNZ. Half of HD units have modified HD to manage this, many reporting harm associated. Ethical implications, causing moral injury. Multilevel approach needed, who will take responsibility? #DNT2025
