On Sunday night we lost Chicana trailblazer, Gloria Molina. Her political life in LA laid the groundwork for future generations of Latinxs and her activism & organizing improved countless lives. Gloria will be deeply missed but her legacy lives on.

People and families arriving at our borders come seeking protection and safety from war & violence. We cannot turn our backs on them. Asylum is a human right! Welcoming migrants with compassion, dignity, and respect is essential to who we are as Californians. #WelcomeWithDignity

When I started at @BeHIPGive I made it a point to visit partners in our network and listen. @Jay_Salvamerica brought this to life rooted in those shared values of collaboration. When we are intentional about centering our communities, we can build power to achieve justice.
