Wishing Stephen Crean a speedy recovery. An absolute Forest hero. I’m certain he wills but hoping the club recognise his bravery and courage in some way. He won’t have to buy another pint in Nottingham ever again. #nffc

Last season, we'd have been hoping for Hammers to beat NUFC to keep our CL ambitions alive. WTF happened yesterday when we want NUFC to do what they should easily have done and beat Hammers? #NFFC

But Martin's question is right. It really is time for wholesale reform of the electricity market so renewables and not gas set the price.
The biggest Q people want me to ask is 'why the hell do we pay more for energy than anyone else in Europe?' A snip from full Martin v Ofgem boss new episode of the Martin Lewis Podcast. Listen to it all on BBC Sounds, Apple, Spotify & all the usual pod players.

Don’t know about you, but I rather want some of these from @GreenpeaceUK - Gas companies are making record profits while our bills rise. I just ordered a poster from Greenpeace to end the Great Gas Rip-Off. Want to do it too?i

Gas companies are raking in profits while our bills soar. Put a poster in your window and show we won’t stay silent. Join thousands demanding cheaper, cleaner energy.

As well as being brilliant on the forthcoming CfD wind contract awards, this from @climate_ben is a real lesson in how to present complicated information in a short, clear, shareable format. I also think it's help calm some of the heated debate

Before you put on your red, Build, Baby, Build MAGA caps, have a look at this. The planning system is full of nuance - it's a democratic process. It can and should be improved (as well as invested in) but the sheer dogma here is astounding.
@SolHughesWriter @AJPendleton @osmarks1 The point at which Britain's housing stock grew the fastest was overwhelmingly due to private housing growth. BTW, most places with more affordable housing see the private sector do the heavy lifting.

This is a completely brilliant, heart-rending piece by @ruthpatrick on @Samfr's Comment is Freed underlining just what a wholly cruel, rotten and untenable policy the two-child limit of UC is. Politically unsustainable as well

Thread: Each week I run a simulation of Australia’s main electricity grid using rescaled generation data to show that it can get very close to 100% renewable electricity with 24GW/120GWh of storage (5 hrs at av demand) Results: Last week: 100% RE Last 218 weeks: 98.5% RE (1/5)

Renewable energy generation cuts the cost of energy to UK consumers by billions per year, report finds
theguardian.com
Reduction comes from energy generated from windfarms and lower cost of gas owing to lower demand

The past week has been a good e.g of the 'Reform seesaw' that will in large part determine whether or not Reform can win an election. On one side of the seesaw, you've got how miserable people are, how unhappy with the status quo they are and that 'we may as well roll the dice'

AR7 analysis: How much offshore wind will the govt be able to contract at the upcoming CfD auction? It depends on the "strike price", but roughly… 6GW at £70/MWh 5GW at £80/MWh 4GW at £90/MWh THREAD 1/6

Would be interested in view @paulmorley19 @petermblackburn @danscapephoto and others. Really surprised how negative fans are being today.
Steady on #NFFC fans. We've picked the worst season of our 4 so far in the top flight to have a big (BIG) blip. Sunderland, Leeds and Burnley all very capable; Bournemouth now joining the elite. Palace, Brentford, Everton all improving. It looks tough, and...

But some of the posts on here have been bonkers. 3/4s of the season to go. Experienced manager who probably reflects where #NFFC really are in their journey. Good, deep, largely un-explored squad. Everything to play for.

And Anderson will need a rest. He's playing all the England games now, so won't manage two games in a week off the back of two games running the show for Tuchel.

... But again, Dyche's interview nails the problem; get the ball into the box early. Also, MGW will have to be dropped for the next game as he's just miles off at the moment and we have a good (and expensive) alternative 10.

Big pluses yesterday were Savona, who's settling down at right back and largely kept Semenyo at bay, and then a response from the manager, which improved Forest's performance in the second half. Lack of goals obvs a big worry ...
