Speaking of classified staff . this would be AMAZING. Paras do a lot of hard work under often-difficult conditions, and they do not make nearly enough money for their work. It's shameful how badly they're paid in Washington.
#Paraeducator minimum wage would be an absolute game-changer for recruitment & retention of paras in public schools! #WALeg #WAEdu.

AFT represents classified workers too. Not all education workers are teachers, and we love our Classified members! (And our ECE members, and our preK-12 members, and our pro staff members . ). So Ms. Frizzle could have been an AFT member even though she drove the bus.
