Alex Laferriere re-signs with #LAK 3 years, $4.1M. This is very fair for a short-term contract. One extra year, slightly higher AAV. We'd question the logic of not using their cap space now to try to get a longer term deal done. Could be an issue for the next contract.

Martin Pospisil extends with #Flames on a 3 year, $2.5M AAV contract. This deal seems to favor the Flames. The AAV is fair for a solid bottom 6 center but getting 3 years with the rising cap is great work by the team.

#Sabres sign Conor Timmins to a 2 year, $2.2M extension. Very good work by the team as Timmins likely had a fairly strong arbitration case given he was acquired for a 2nd round pick. Timmins should be a major improvement for their 3rd pair and PK.

This is a very good deal for Soderblom considering his inconsistent play over the past 2-3 seasons. He looked good at times this past year (still inconsistent), so best case scenario is 1B workload in tandem with Knight but could end up as a pure backup. #NHL #Blackhawks

Great timing for #NYI to sign Tsyplakov and avoid arbitration as we have a new @MaxTermPod episode dropping shortly discussing arbitration. This is a great deal for the team. We do think our projection model struggled with comps for Tsyplakov, likely because of small sample.
