I appreciate your remarks. I also understand Wapping made me enemies. But I have never resiled from the view it had to be done. And the manner of its doing was forced on us by the intransigence of the print unions to new technology.
@afneil In my youth, you were the enemy, as one of the faces in the Wapping dispute. Over time I grudgingly began to respect your work. I still fondly miss This Week as the best politics show on tv. Keep up the well researched, firm but fair analysis. Can't say fairer than that.

@ianpuddick @afneil @afneil is also the best commentator on Israeli Gaza war too by far, and i am speaking as a UK-born Israeli survivor of a Hamas machete attack. It's not that I agree with everything Andrew says, but he is always fair and makes people think.

@ianpuddick @afneil Back in the day I knew a lot of people in journalism and politics who didn’t like @afneil but on the one occasion I met - substantially - with him, he was entirely what one would have wanted from a senior political journalist. I’m a slightly surprised huge fan.
