We applaud the House for passing @BillPascrell & @RepMcCaul's amendment increasing funding for the Nonprofit Security Grant Program, which provides critical support to protect houses of worship and at-risk nonprofits. We call on the Senate to support increased funding as well.

California is on the verge of equipping itself with new tools in the fight against hate. Legislation like AB 1079 (@AsmCoreyJackson), which declares hate a public health issue and establishes a Hate Crimes Intervention Unit, and AB 1185 (@JesseGabrielCA), which expands the

San Diego Jewish Leaders Joint Statement on Hate Speech in City Council Meeting.

Comments like the ones at yesterday's City Council are unacceptable and grotesque. Incidents of hate like these are exactly the reason why I will continue to speak up and speak out against anti-Semitic, anti-LGBTQ, anti-Black, anti-AAPI, and anti-immigrant hate.
