I guess the time has come to make a Master thread of threads as my pinned tweet I use twitter to share, engage with others in thinking things through & problem solving, to get peer support, share my blog, promote my coaching business & to perk myself up on dark days. I have ADHD

I'm starting to realize that most people don't know what autistic needs are. In fact, a lot of people seem to think that autism is just the criteria and nothing more. That what you see is what you get. (Even many autistic people seem to think this.)

Yesterday I made a post saying that if you strongly suspect you're autistic, chances are extremely high that you are... and I was asked for evidence to support this. So, here it is...

Memory issues are huge with my flavour of ADHD, but I remember things much better when they are made a part of my f2f social interactions.

These days, being a coach, I try to surface from such a binge with some concrete action items for my own life. No matter how small. Or take action on communicating my newly found insights about me,and my drives and needs to others around me so I don't lose them.

I was reflecting on this a lot yesterday. It feels like detour emotional processing instead of full-on directly confronting the emotions / situations that are overwhelming to me. It helps me easy into my own emotions and back off when it gets too much (it's just fiction).

Great thread, I was in a similar groove with binge watching series these past weeks. These days I do find myself seeking out materials that are related to the problems I am trying to solve, but not directly reflecting them.->
My greatest fear is that the fundamental reality of my life is lying in a bed staring at a ceiling wishing I was elsewhere I’ve read seven books in the past three days. In fact I’ve spent every second I wasn’t working reading. This is because I didn’t want to be me

In 1945, six women pulled off a computing miracle. They programmed the world’s first computer—with no manuals, no training. Then, a SINGLE assumption erased them from tech history for decades. The story of how ONE photo nearly deleted computing’s female founders: 🧵

This outcome is scary to me. I suppose it says a lot about this accounts followers and reach.

Burning the money just seems spiteful. Even if you disagree with some government policies, there is still a lot of common good generated. And if you want more control over how the money is spent: gifting to official charities of your choice will get you huge tax breaks!

What government? In most cases it would make way more sense for it to go to common goods. People underestimate how much of the bedrock of their lives is funded with government money, in democracies especially. Roads, education, childcare, access to healthcare, law&order...

Here's @variety.com showing the world how you do an autism diagnosis headline: listen to the autistic's experience and represent it. "It's Liberating and Freeing to know"

Yes. Dear Lord, yes. I hate that I don't [remember, notice, be on time, listen, do the thing, start, finish, etc.]. Hate it. And it kills me how much that hurts them. If I didn't care, that wouldn't be true at all.
The phrase “if you cared, you would [remember, notice, be on time, listen, etc]” is so funny because I care so much it hurts but I just can’t change the behavior because that’s not how my brain works. And by “so funny” I mean “utterly devastating.”

Also, I want to make it clear that I'm trying to keep a very open mind about what is really going on. Things are usually grey & complex, people! What I'm identifying as toxic is mainly someone seemingly keeping themselves stuck through being so fused with drama triangle thinking
HELP I'm seeing some toxic shit happening close to me right now and it partially seems to mirror DARVO, but I identified it first by identifying the main actor putting themselves into the victim OR saviour roles of the drama triangle constantly.
