Time flies when you're having fun with the people you love.

I think a tactic of the Enemy is to bring down seasoned saints while a pastor is on vacation. He is then tempted to leave family for the funeral, but if he doesn't, members may grumble that he wasn't there.

You can throw a dart with a blindfold on & land on one of the many problems with government schools, but the most pernicious is the fostering of atheistic thinking. Every subject is taught without reference to Jesus Christ, in whom are found the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

4. Elders "are over" Christians in the local church. Professing Christians who are not "under" local church leadership are not living biblically ordered lives. 5. Church members should be regularly admonished by their elders.

I wish more Southern Baptists took this article from The Baptist Faith and Message 2000 on education more seriously:. "Christianity is the faith of enlightenment and intelligence. In Jesus Christ abide all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
