If your winter activities take you into a mountainous area, you may be in avalanche terrain. Carry a shovel, probe, and avalanche transceiver and know how to self-rescue. Check snow conditions and avalanche forecasts or sign up for a safety course at: https://t.co/bM4BP4qBNQ

Stay safe on frozen lakes and rivers this winter. Ice can look solid, but conditions change fast. The recommended ice thickness for individuals is 15 cm. Groups need 20 cm. Don’t forget tools to measure and drill the ice before venturing out.
