I have it the other way , started with web , did backend with springboot then realised purely web will restrict me. But continued ML DL for my college side seminar work . Now I try to integrate them both regularly...
Here's the real talk. If you've started ML and you feel that you'll probably get a core ML job, probably even research. Just know that, It's going to be tough. Most folks who start out, pivot into learning full stack and then stick to building AI integrated applications.
