Thank you @heli_CvP in @KTLA SKY5 for several shoutouts to the #Dispatchers who work hard behind the scenes during a #pursuit like this lengthy one tonight. They're coordinating resources & managing interagency communications, with public and officer safety as the #1 priority. 💛

For Dispatchers, there is no worse radio transmission then, "Shots fired, officer down!" Despite that broadcast tonight, our Dispatchers & BCCs immediately took action, working with field units to bring this situation to an end. Our thoughts are with the wounded officer.

The 9-1-1 system in the City of Los Angeles is fully functioning. Other than an influx of burglar alarm calls, the 6.9 magnitude #earthquake has not affected our operations. We are thinking about the residents and first responders in the Ridgecrest area. Stay safe.
