It is #TsunamiPreparednessWeek in #BritishColumbia. Know your zone... know the signs... #DYK that a tsunami is not "a wave", but rather a series of waves that can continue for hours? Some great information here: https://t.co/b3UmFYzLYD https://t.co/F5afmC0P5T @PreparedBC

Each member of your household should have a grab-and-go bag prepped in case you have leave in a hurry. Once you've packed the basics like food and water, remember to add personal items like medications, extra glasses & seasonal clothing.

What's the diff b/t a grab-and-go bag & emergency kit? G&G bag: this is for leaving your home, school or work quickly. Emerg kit: this for staying home if it's considered safe. Important items are in one place to make it easier to deal w/ lack of power/heat & food/water

For those on the south coast, the last couple days of snow are a good reminder to get prepared. Do you have what you need to be on your own for at least 72 hrs? If you did use items from your kit, be sure to restock!
