Dream job: build a platform that enables ordinary people to get together to fund the purchase of bankrupt dairy and farm operations, reemploy the former owners and workers to transform them into permaculture systems with ecovillages, and give those villages to climate refugees.

Nothing damages trust quicker than the realisation that the intention is to please people, not protect them. True reassurance isn't about saying nice calming words. It's being straight-up honest ("there's a problem") alongside visible action ("so here's what we're going to do").

Indeed the whole reason we protest police violence is that cops DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO ASSASSINATE YOU no matter how much of an asshole you are or aren't.
➡️ Being a bad person doesn't mean you deserve to be summarily executed by the Government ➡️ Being summarily executed by the Government doesn't mean you are not a bad person ➡️ That these entirely separate and non-contradictory concepts need to be articulated is sad
