Omg. I was having this *exact* conversation w/a friend yesterday. As someone who !hates! asking for stuff, I’m learning that being a true part of a community is not just giving. You’re also supposed to take from it + give people the opportunity to give to you.
it never occurred to me to ask bc driving someone to the airport at such an ungodly hour is a big thing to ask of anyone! but you kinda have to give ppl the opportunity to be inconvenienced by you. you’ll be surprised by the things people will do out of their love + care for you
