HUGE turnout today as we head back out to knock doors and make phone calls for all of our endorsed candidates. Union workers know what’s at stake in this election and we are putting in the work to win!

Listen to @AFGEPrezKelley: Federal workers aren’t pawns in political games—they make our country run every day. The government shutdown has locked them out of their jobs and ripped away their paychecks. It’s time to fund the government and put working people first.

Listen to @AFGENational President Everett Kelley: Federal workers aren’t pawns in political games—they inspect our food, care for veterans, conduct research that keeps workers safe and so much more. They make America run. The Trump admin’s Project 2025/DOGE agenda hurts everyone.

We honor the courage and sacrifice of the heroes who ran toward danger on 9/11. Their unity in the face of tragedy reminds us of the strength in standing together. Today, we remember those we lost and the labor that helped rebuild our nation. #NeverForget911

Thinking of all our brothers and sisters who answered the call 24 years ago, all those we lost that day and in the years since. Your courage and commitment to the job will never be forgotten.

The labor movement was born in Pittsburgh. As the son of a union bus driver I was proud to walk with the laborers and countless other unions in the Pittsburgh Labor Day Parade. These men and women have built this city, our Commonwealth, and our country and I’m proud as hell to

Secretary Collins’ decision to rip up the negotiated union contract for majority of its workforce, 1/3 of whom are vets, is another clear example of retaliation against AFGE members for speaking out against the illegal, anti-worker, & anti-veteran policies of this administration.

Tearing up union contracts, taking Medicaid and SNAP away from millions of workers and gutting essential services is not putting “American workers first” — it’s protecting billionaires and greedy corporate CEOs while leaving working families increasingly vulnerable.

Donald Trump and his VA Secretary, Doug Collins, are union busting the VA to make it easier to privatize and gut care for my fellow veterans. Care will get worse, especially for rural veterans who live far from private hospitals and doctor’s offices.

If they take away the union rights of the workers who keep our air and water clean and care for veterans (many of whom are veterans themselves), then no union contract is safe under this admin. America’s unions will not be silenced—we’ll get even louder.

The Trump admin is terminating most contracts with federal unions at the Department of Veterans Affairs. This illegal union busting and violation of union contracts will affect 400,000 workers and is one of the most aggressive anti-labor moves the administration has made so far.

AFGE lost a towering figure in our union’s history with the passing of National President Emeritus Bobby Harnage. Through turbulence and transformation, Harnage kept AFGE grounded in purpose and bold in its pursuit of justice for federal and D.C. workers. https://t.co/wSss87LrqP
