Personal shout out to @FrameworkPuter for the excellence they have put into the Framework 12! This is such a good machine to me, as a professional, that I feel like any child using one of these for their studies is seriously lucky!.

But also we need to pressure Microsoft to stop eroding privacy and making their system worse.

and straight forward. This gets you a system that works, with low power states that are supported, the ability to use all hardware including cutting edge, and access to a mound of software that surpasses all other OSes.

As the Linux world falls apart because of stupid crusades that have NOTHING to do with the software or technology I feel the push for this being the year of Linux should actually be the year of locked down Windows 11. Applications like Portmaster, WPD, Wumgr, WinUtil make it easy.

I am REALLY thinking about trying to replace my laptop with a Steam Deck. Using a lapdock type setup should be totally doable. Valve seems like they are much more based in the computing world these days than just about everyone.

While X is great for getting a pulse on things I'd argue that it is pretty terrible to have a discussion on. This isn't because of a technical limitation here. It is more to do with the quality of interactions society facilitates.

There are many things that Purism has done to deserve the ire of their crowd but the Librem 5 from a technical standpoint should absolve a lot of that. However, I think until Purism manufactures all of their product in the US that the issue will not disappear. Posted from L5!.
