This week our OC, Maj Gordon led a combined 3RMP task force on a proactive counter narcotics operation. Over 40 personnel from 156, 158 and 253 Pro Coys supported by the SIB and MPS utilised a variety of tactics to detect and deter drug use in the service community.

Yesterday evening Captain Bate visited 106 ACF, an RMP cadet detachment. He spoke to them about the role and history of the RMP and was given a bottle of port and a t-shirt as a thank you for the support 253 Pro Coy provided to them in running remote training during lockdown.

Having deciphered a complex intelligence picture

discovered a suspected mass grave site & evidence of genocide. They conducted initial scene management &material recovery for forensic analysis. Exercises like this prepare us to conduct investigations anywhere.

On Tuesday evening our recruiting team attended the Arms and Services Night at Yeomanry House. This was to engage with ULOTC and generate interest in the RMP from both a reserve and regular stand point. Was great to see so many individuals keen to know more about our corps!
