Maj. Gen. Indrek Sirel, Commander of the Estonian Division, met Maj. Gen. Oliver Brown, GOC UK 3rd Division, to advance the Warfighting Consultancy Campaign Plan. Based on a 2024 joint MoD Roadmap, the Plan will implement UK 3DIV capabilities and expertise to ESTDIV until 2027.

On 1 August, a ceremonial handover of the Baltic Air Policing mission took place at Ämari Air Base. The Portuguese Air Force formally transferred the mission to the Italian Air Force. Italy will now safeguarding the Baltic region’s airspace with their F-35 fighter jets.

On 26 July, the Russian SVETLYAK-class patrol ship SOCHI 500 entered Estonian territorial waters east of Vaindloo Island without permission. It was the first such violation in 2025. The Navy monitored the situation, identified the vessel, and confirmed the border violation.

On 25 July, the international cyber defence exercise Cyber Flag concluded in Virginia, USA. Estonian cyber troops took part as members of a joint Poland-Estonia team. The aim was to strengthen allied ties and share tactics, techniques, and procedures.

From July 21–24, the joint exercise Furious Eagle took place at the central training area, with French and British troops honing coordination from HQ to infantry level. For the first time in Estonia, live fire with the ARCHER self-propelled howitzer was also conducted. #WeAreNATO
