Yes they get hammered by the kids but they are kept indoors, they shouldn’t be that rusty! They are from the usual suspects @Halfords_uk & @DecathlonUK - so if you are buying from these stores take extra care and you would be better off going to your LBS if you can find one.

Fixing up some kids bikes for the local pre-school and it struck me what poor quality some of them are! Loose bearings, bubbling paint, no care taken to setup of brakes or headsets. Glad I have the time to give them a once over but some of these must only be a year or two old.

A new record today…. 6 fucking punctures in a two hour ride!! (3 sealed with the tubeless, two required a plug and the third wouldn’t seal with a plug so was a pump and run) I think my tyres are officially cooked. Off to get some fresh shoes for the gravel bike tomorrow.

Did a ride at the weekend. It was fooking tough!! 185miles over all sorts of shitty bridleways and mud - lots and lots of pushing. Gravel routes in the uk suck balls 🤣🤣🤣 Photo of the only non raining bit on the Thames at about 5am Saturday morning.

Was a qualifier for the next section which was less than 44cm wide. Glad I have narrow bars for a gravel bike

National cycle lane has hurdles in it. #makecyclingaccessible My fully loaded bike packing bike “just” fits. Would hate to try anything longer or wider 🤦🏻‍♂️

Got schooled in cycling physics last night on @GoZwift Two riders going up alpe du-Zwift One at 220w the other at 300w+ 220w rider pulls away as fat bloke is blowing a gasket to maintain 300w+ (that’s me by the way) Guess I need to loose weight🤣 Got my PR though so happy 🏆

Post ride cleanup. It’s not the latest and greatest. In fact it’s nearly 20yrs old. There are many bikes like it, but this one is mine and it’s my key to freedom, tranquility and a quiet mind.
