dev @l2beat ๐ | opinions are my own
Joined September 2018
Recently had the opportunity to speak at the DeFi Security Summit (@summit_defi) at @EFDevcon Argentina ๐ฆ๐ท I highlighted one core idea: DeFi security starts at the chain level. Showed what we're building at @l2beat and how you can use it to navigate DeFi with confidence.

nice, but the real milestone is permissionless and trustless, which @ethereum has had for years (revolut froze me once for no reason and wouldnt even let me prove that my income was legal lol)
1970: "No one will trust an ATM." 1998: "People need physical branches." 2015: "Instant payments are impossible." 2025: "Cross-border is too complex." History isn't written by the skeptics.

To sum up: Fusaka doesnโt change how rollups work, it just makes the whole system scale better. More blob space, better blob fee mechanics, and higher execution capacity. All preparing Ethereum to scale further without sacrificing decentralisation.

EIP-7935 - Set Default Gas Limit to 60M Fusaka raises Ethereumโs default gas limit from 45M to 60M, increasing execution capacity and lowering transaction costs. L2s: more room for posting proofs and settling batches on L1 L1: higher throughput and lower average transaction

EIP-7918 - Blob Base Fee Bounded by Execution Cost Rollups pay for both execution gas and blob fees when posting data. When execution gas spikes but blob demand is low, blob fees can fall to 1 wei - breaking the price signal. EIP-7918 links blob fees to execution cost. It acts

EIP-7892 - Blob-Parameter-Only (BPO) forks PeerDAS boosts blob capacity, but the blob count still needs to rise safely over time. BPOs make that easy: tiny โmini-forksโ that only adjust blob targets and limits, so no full hard fork needed. After Fusaka, the target stays the

EIP-7594 - PeerDAS (Peer Data Availability Sampling) Today, L2s post their data to blobs. Before Fusaka, every node had to download every blobโs data. Clear scaling bottleneck. PeerDAS changes that: each node stores only โ1/8 of the data, and any 50% can reconstruct the whole

Everyoneโs talking about Fusaka, but whatโs actually changing for L2s and @ethereum scaling roadmap? Itโs packed with upgrades touching blobs, fees, and gas limit. It will go live on Ethereum mainnet Dec 3, 2025. Hereโs why it matters for L2s and for Ethereumโs base layer. ๐งต๐

that's the solana route. ethereum should stay far from it ๐

interop is the next big step in ethereum roadmap and L2BEAT is here, as always
Interop is the next big challenge for Ethereum - and L2BEAT is diving right into the center of it. At @EFDevcon, our cofounder @bkiepuszewski introduced our newest initiative: Interop ๐

DeFi security starts at the chain level. Join @0xzygmunt to learn how our new framework helps you assess risks across your DeFi positions - tomorrow at @summit_defi!
Even the safest smart contracts rely on the security of the chains they run on. @0xZygmunt, Software Engineer at @l2beat, will speak at DSS on how L2BEATโs framework evaluates Layer-2 risks, from data availability to bridge design and governance security.

On delaying FOCIL inclusion First, I genuinely think itโs good to have every take on FOCIL voiced openly so people can form their own informed opinions. The main issue I see with this line of reasoning is that it assumes any statement about H* can be relied upon. Planning and
While this is difficult to appreciate from the outside, a major decision is at stake behind the Forkcast rankings published over the last week: Adding FOCIL to Glamsterdam or not. In my view, it would be a short-sighted decision to add FOCIL, either as a definite commitment and

our @l2beat activity page just got a redesignโจ one table. no more tabs. all projects side by side. no excuses left, 6 of the top 10 use ethereum DA. as of today, the top 3 are: 1. @Lighter_xyz 2. @base 3. @0xPolygon PoS
