I created a Docker config to run Claude Code without worrying about using --dangerously-skip-permissions. ✅ User without sudo privileges.✅ Complete isolation from the host.✅ Multi-account support (work/personal).✅ Persistent volumes per account. Any better alternatives?.

You can’t just slap an OpenAPI spec into an MCP server and call it a day. The hard part is wrapping it with the context an agent needs to avoid shooting itself in the foot. OpenAPI → MCP is a starting point, not the product.

Lately I’ve seen some products claim:.“Just connect your OpenAPI and voilà — instant tools for your LLM!”. But that’s rarely the case. OpenAPI shows what endpoints exist — but not how to use them, when to call them, or what shape the output should take. Tools need real design.

Did you ever get to work for an organization that treated APIs as first-class products? Or is it still a struggle?.

Came across an excellent article on this topic:.

So how do you make the shift? Some ideas:. - Change how you talk about APIs internally. - Align APIs with real business impact, not technical facts. - Track real metrics (time-to-integration, adoption, revenue impact).

And this isn't only about the wording–it affects where resources go. APIs that are considered "just features" lose to UI updates. APIs as products get the investment, strategy, and long-term attention they deserve.

Nevertheless, most teams still treat APIs as utilities. ❌ "Our API has 20 endpoints, OAuth, and rate limits.".✅ "Our API allows customers to integrate within hours, reducing churn and driving retention.".

When you start thinking of an API as a product, everything changes:. - It has its roadmap. - It's tied to business goals (not just tech specs). - Success is not just about uptime; success is about adoption, retention, and, of course, monetization.

I've been reflecting on how companies treat APIs. Far too often, APIs are merely another engineering project—something to tick off on the roadmap. But honestly, an API isn't a bunch of endpoints. It's a product.

How do you onboard users to your APIs? Just by sending them the documentation, through guides, maybe sharing a Postman collection or is there some other way I'm unaware of?.

@MaterialUI A few months ago I tried @tailwindcss and it's been so simple and smooth to use and I'm so in love, I'll build all my components from now on on top of it. In fact, I've already started with the transition. No more drama!.
