I still believe this is one of the best things that has ever happened in all of humanity's history. It will never not make me immensely happy.

I was getting annoyed at people claiming It's a Wonderful Life isn't a Christmas movie because only a bit of it takes place at Christmas. It's literally a retelling of A Christmas Carol, y'all, except that the Scrooge character is played by *Jesus* I made slides 1/2

Just bookmarked a tab into my "TO DO" bookmarks folder so I can close it without guilt and forget that it's rotting away for eternity in there

Yet another reason to love @cssdayconf! Free childcare during the conference, in the actual venue, with no age restrictions! I cannot stress how important this is for diversity and inclusion. And how cute that they make a tiny badge for your kid 😍 I will be sure to post Zoe's!

French speakers: what's a casual, cute, affectionate way to address a group of kids that aren't your own? English examples: kiddos, cuties, monkeys. It's for a story I'm writing, so old-fashioned is OK.

This article on performing a "project premortem" describes a similar process to what I shared in this thread, where you think ahead to what might go wrong, then build in the solutions preemptively:

Reprint: F0709A In a premortem, team members assume that the project they are planning has just failed—as so many do—and then generate plausible reasons for its demise. Those with reservations may...

Not every UX project is the same. How do you know what processes and artifacts to include in your UX strategy? I start by asking myself: "What will happen if I don't do anything?" This may be a negative way to look at it, but it gets me into a problem-solving mindset. 🧵1/7

I only have one tip for young UX designers. Learn to write well. Most problems aren’t solved by pixels but by well written arguments and framing in product docs, chat and sometimes even inside figma comments.

Spot on! 😄 Another annoyance: when you try to use the edit menu or right click menu to paste a slide, they pop up a message telling you to use cmd+v. Basically "we know exactly what you want to do but force you to do it another way because we're petty af."
