The Christian life is not lived in isolation, confined to our minds and hearts. It is lived with others, because the Risen Christ is present among the disciples gathered in His name. We are part of a people, a body that the Lord has established. No one is a Christian alone!

Jesus: "Whoever #serves me must #FOLLOW me." Jn 12:26 Seems obvious, right? But while serving Jesus in ministry, we can stop #following Him! Instead, we start following politicians, podcasters, or peers-and our vision, values & priorities come from social media, not Jesus. #bad

I love learning that one of my favorite breweries is using processes that help care for the environment! Very cool.
How do we save 1,000,000 pounds of CO2 a year? Ferment, rinse, repeat: music to a sustainable brewery's ears. Check out how our closed-loop carbon recapture system has decreased our carbon footprint since 1998. https://t.co/OKF3iGwFM5

So well-stated!
Mesa, AZ Republican Mayor John Giles: I do not recognize my party. I have something to say to those of us who are in the middle: You donāt owe a damn thing to that party. You donāt owe anything to a party that is out of touch and hell-bent on taking us backward. And by all means,

āThe Kingdom is like a net thrown into the seaā¦ā The soul is also like a net, and collects many things. If we conscientiously exercised a separation of the good from the bad within ourselves, we would be better prepared for the separation āat the end of the ageā.

Iāve known Sr. Margaret Farrell for almost 20 years. She and her ministry are incredible! She has an incredible gift for connecting people and resources in very practical ways. This article is a wonderful glimpse into her ministry.
Sr. Margaret Farrell addresses the continued issue of homelessness and the need for affordable housing ā a situation that remains critical in Los Angeles and other large American cities.

Wow. This is so well-stated. Each of us who is a Christian would do well to spend some time honestly examining our own lives through this lens & allowing God to show us the ways we have failed to follow Jesusā living example. Come, Holy Spirit! Transform our hearts & lives!
āTaking the Lordās name in vainā isnāt about saying āoh my godā when youāre frustrated. Itās about using the name of Jesus to justify oppression, marginalization and violence. Itās about calling yourself a Christian without doing the work of Christājustice, liberation and love.

āWhoever wishes to come after me etcā. Maybe we think taking up the cross mostly implies accepting the inevitable misfortunes of life; in the life of Jesus, it mainly involves accepting the consequences of announcing the Kingdom of God in a world clinging to its own power.

The nuncio: The Catholic faith will spread by contact with people and accompanying them, not by ideological propaganda tactics
