There's also a tip for this puzzle, you could draw a line between a given dot and a dot that you already knew is outside the bottle. If the line cuts the bottle an even amount of times, it's outside. If it cuts an odd amount of times, it's inside.

The answer is 7!! Thank you all for solving this with Nina. Some of you even mentioned physics which I haven't considered at all and maybe I should.
