I prefer LAX over Burbank strictly for the food options. I'm not gonna eat at Guy Fieri's Kitchen.

If you didn't know, @IBDinvestors publishes a quarterly Stock Guide in a free PDF. The latest one titled "The ETF Playbook: Strategies for Growth Investors" just dropped couple days back. There is always something to take away from that publication ⏬⏬ https://t.co/ij8GrYWNw4

I prefer this take: they're both hard, and everyone has different natural abilities. For me, coming from a graphic design background - UI came more easily, more fun - and 'UX' stuff has taken a lot more practice.
Most designers don't want to hear this: UI takes 10x longer to master than UX. You can learn research & user flows in months. But visual design? That's years of reps.

@TyneeWorld Being too ambitious and showing it is almost not a likeable personality trait in Canada... especially in Vancouver.

this is no shade on Alex AT ALL, but something I’ve been thinking - should designers (me included) take more responsibility for poor design outcomes due to their inability to manage / guide the project and expectations? is it a cop out to say the client was dumb and ruined it?
I have an idea for my portfolio. I’m gonna show the initial concept and the “ruined by client” end result. I want to show clients that sometimes you just need to trust the process. When you bring 10+ people to give feedback, the result can turn into total shit. This should be

If you trust your password manager, you’re the new target. LastPass, Bitwarden, and 1Password are now the bait in sophisticated phishing attacks—aimed straight at your master password.

The people who would shame you 10 years ago are all now Creative Directors for brands like Nike, Google, etc. Anyone who is still pretending will be in rough shape later in life.

We’ve stopped shaming “selling out” because we see how the game works. Social media made wealth visible, startups cash out young, cost of living keep climbing. Financial literacy reframes this and I think it’s a good thing. Having principles is great, but make sure they’re
On the topic of "selling out". How did this COMPLETELY flip within just the last decade? ~10-15+ years ago “selling out” was seen as total betrayal. It meant sacrificing authenticity, independence or artistic integrity for money or corporate approval. A band licensing songs to

One of the hardest things about becoming more senior in your career is maintaining the same love for design you had starting out. Forget the politics, the corporate games, the big brand names, the career ladder climbing - stay focused on the love of the game and all will be

As you gain experience in your design career, you’ll get jaded, it’s part of it - these companies will suck the life out of you, you’ll get more concerned about equity vesting than high-quality, craft design, but will somehow convince yourself that you aren’t, and that makes
