twitter is so annoying about rina sawayama u have all constructed a fake idea of hold the girl that doesnt exist ๐ญ๐ญ this hell is the only song on the entire album that sounds like this
@zadtwt
htg is still political (like all of rina's music, literally what do they think this hell is about) & focuses on childhood trauma like i'm tired of this idea that her music isn't as "serious" or deep as before. the message is there if they spend more than 5 seconds off twitter
@shakabrawl
Yea like also a lot of songs on htg are about trauma related to her race and religious upbringing and how her mother raised her and also being queer thereโs a lot of very deep themes in there
@zadtwt
Theyre acting like artists cant have any fun songs like not every song an artist puts out has to be deep. The one fun somg doesnt ruin the whole album. I would argue that SAWAYAMA had more songs that werent that deep. Each album has a good balance
@zadtwt
Hold The Girl isnt for everyone and thats okay ๐Its for people who are ACTUALLY in that same spot in their lives. It really hits different if you can relate. Its an album she needed to make for herself and an album to help people in the same spot she was
